This blog and its invitations are for our friends and family only. In addition to the crowds of kids? We have big dogs, too.

Harkins WHAT?
In the early 1800's the Greer farm was owned by Emmett O'Neal, one of the father/son governors of Alabama. It changed hands a couple of times and before our family bought it, it was owned by a man named Harkins...hence, Harkins Hill. But don't bother looking for the money that people in Center Star believe he buried somewhere on the property...every square inch has pretty much been explored with metal detectors. Unless it was paper money?
