Let's all get wet and muddy!!

End of the year Branch Party at Pariss and Allie Craig's grandparents' place. This Friday, May 27. If you've been before? See you there. If you're a Branch Virgin? Read on ;)

This is NOT Churchill Downs. It IS, however, Kid Heaven. You just have to come prepared.


We will have chicken quarters (40 pounds of them!) and hotdogs. Beans. Maybe a ham and some ribs if I get back to the store. If you'd like, bring a side dish. Bring a cooler for your family...old and young.

Bring...and this is important...extra clothes for your kids. Old clothes. Bring water shoes, wading boots or old tennis shoes that can get wet. Towels. More extra clothes. Water toys are fun...nets for minnows, crawfish and salamanders. Bug spray and sun screen.

Directions...going east on Hwy 72, take the first right past Brooks High School onto Belview Road/CR 31 (across from Outpost.) Go about a mile and a half and take the first right onto CR 171. Grandmother's house is the first house on the right; on CR 171 when the road takes a sharp left, you go straight into the driveway. (GPS: 730 CR 171, Killen AL) Keep going straight, through the gate and down the dirt road. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR SHOWROOM CORVETTE down this dirt road...this really happened once. If you are in a nice car? Stop in the yard at the top of the hill and call me...710-1177...and someone will come up and get you. Or walk, it's good exercise ;)

Some schools are already out, some have early dismissal and St. Joseph is there until three o'clock Friday so time is relative. We will be down there about noon. You just come on when the fancy strikes you. Questions? 256-710-1177 is my cell.
